There are five teams competing in the Oman EcoHouse Design Competition:
- Dhofar University (City of Salalah, Dhofar Governorate)
- German University of Technology (City of Muscat, Muscat Governorate)
- Higher College of Technology (City of Muscat, Muscat Governorate)
- University of Nizwa (City of Nizwa, Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate)
- Sultan Qaboos University (City of Muscat, Muscat Governorate).
The university-led teams were selected through a proposal review process administered by The Research Council. All the participating universities have official project partners from the government and construction sectors.
Each team’s house is located on a permanent site on or near its respective campus.
